  Ms Skinner has started working on my case as of 2/13.. I filed for divorce and paid up front. During that time I put the divorce on hold hoping things with my husband would work things out, but unfortunately they did not. I contacted Ms Skinner again asking what I needed to do to to start the process again. She informed me the divorce was already paid for so all I needed to pay was the 250.00 refilling fee and picked it back up from there. She never charged me the retaining fee of 3000.00 again for her work already done before. She has been more than patient with me during this very emotional and very difficult time. My divorce is still going on due to child custody and moving issues but I am confident in what she's trying to do for me. She's very understanding and knows how her clients feel.

  I had a temporary child custody case come up with no representation for myself or my child against Carmel Sanders and after acting pro se (for myself) in the preliminary hearing, many complex issues arose from the original hearing that spiraled out of my control. I approached Margaret with all my concerns of the prior hearing and how to best handle the situation to protect my child and Margaret fought long and hard for my child. After many, many repeated delays our nine month temp hearing was approaching the three year mark and Margaret had her day in court. She brought up my concerns for my child's mental and physical safety and ongoing neglectful actions by my ex and after a long day in court the judge had plenty of evidence to support my concerns. The child was allowed to speak for themselves to the court directly and with all of that the child was returned into my care (third time a court ruled in my favor to maintain physical custody for the child). Without Margaret I never would have been able to wade through all the muck of my case and handled any tricky maneuvers by Ms. Sanders in the final hearing stage. I am forever in Ms. Skinner's debt and think the world of all the good she does for those who aren't given a voice (the children) in situations beyond their control and standing up for what is honestly the best care and nurturing they can receive.

  This lady is a crook. Ms. Skinner is very unprofessional, unprepared, and incompetent as an attorney. If you need an attorney to represent your best interest involving child custody or divorce look somewhere else.
